Checklists

Some time ago, I read The Checklist Manifesto, and since then I’ve implemented a number of checklists in my practice. I’d like to do more of them because I find them so useful. The trick of course, is to find the time to do it because a good checklist requires a lot of thought. Too many “checklists” I’ve seen are simply a collection of dozens of important points to remember when dealing with a matter, but that is not what Gawande, the book’s author, is referring to when he writes about the really useful checklists in aviation or construction.

  1. Thanks John for the recommend! I did indeed place it on hold (that’s a great way to link to the book).
