MGS on strike?

The following is from an OPSEU press release issued last week:

The union representing 35,000 frontline Ministry employees who work directly for the Ontario government announced today that bargaining representatives of the Ontario Government have taken a significant step towards forcing OPSEU members out on strike.

It appears that any such OPSEU strike would include court office workers and workers at the Ministry of Government Services. The latter workers handle the processing of articles for corporations under the Ontario Business Corporations Act.

One can incorporate instead under the Canada Business Corporations Act unless, of course, you’re trying to incorporate a professional corporation, which must be done under the OBCA. In addition, if you incorporate a CBCA corporation that will be a member of an already-existing group, remember that merging the CBCA entity with an OBCA corporation will be a nuisance.
